Tool Mentor: Implementing Design Elements Using Rational XDE Developer - Java Platform Edition
Purpose
This section provides links to additional information related to this tool mentor.
Overview
This tool mentor assumes that a set of structured models have already been
created in accordance with the XDE
Model Structure Guidelines, in particular, models for implementation.
An implementation can be constructed by editing source code and reverse engineering
a code model, or by modeling the code in Rational XDE (typically by evolving
the previously created design model) and generating source code.
To browse and edit source code associated with a model element, refer to
.
To create model elements, refer to the tool mentors for the design activities.
Note that implementation model elements are often created by moving a Design
Model element to the Implementation Model. The element may still be referenced
from the Design Model - see
Concepts: Mapping from Design to Code.
