- Does the name of the business system reflect its role and purpose within
the business?
- Does the business system offer a clear set of responsibilities?
- Are the responsibilities aligned with the role and purpose of the
business system?
- Are the responsibilities coherent (logically related)?
- Does the business system cleanly separate the specification of its
responsibilities from their realization?
- Do any parties external to the business system interact with it in any
way other than using the predefined responsibilities?
- Is the business system directly dependent on any elements within other
business systems?
- Are all responsibilities realized in some way by the elements within the
business system?
- Would changes to the internal structure of the business system have
impact outside its boundaries?
- Does the number of business systems seem reasonable (no more than 12 at
any one level)?
