  • To ensure that data is 'rolled-up' and reported for the purposes of tracking progress and trends.

Frequency: Ongoing, typically coinciding with milestones at points in an iteration. Starting in the Elaboration phase, but most evident in Construction and Transition.

Report on Configuration Status and Defect Trends

Configuration Status Accounting activities are based on formalized recording and reporting of the status of proposed changes, and the status of the implementation of proposed changes.

Project defect data is reported in accordance with how you have defined your configuration status reporting requirements for the project or the product in the Activity: Establish CM Policies.
